we're having a GIRL
Sep. 7th, 2015 11:53 amand we've decided to use Jeannette somewhere in the name bc of hubby's grandmother..she raised him and was like a mom to him and he wanted to honor her..her middle name was Jean..gf wanted to honor her mom and her name is Annette..we thought it was a fitting name with combining those 2 names together :)
I want Lee (or something with the Lee sound atleast) or something that means "pure" in there, but I haven't really said anything much about it bc when I mentioned I'd like Lee for my own mom to be honored, hubby didnt seem to thrilled with that (and Lee is the 3rd name of our son already soo that might be a problem, idk)..with "pure" being important, let me explain..my middle name is Katherine and it means "pure"..my grandmother's name was Katherine..and her grandmother b4 her..it's kind of a family tradition..I doubt I'll ever get my lil Caitlin bc I dont think I'll ever be able to have kids and gf hates the name Caitlin ::shrug::
we're going to do 10 names each and pick 1 or 2 that we like and work with Jeannette. we dont kno if we want to do 1 middle name or 2 middle names like Christian has. I've already compiled my list (I think I'm happy with these names lol) but we've not had any time to sit down and go over them together..here's mine:
me and gf are leaning towards either Irish/Gaelic names or boy names for girls..hubby is leaning more towards very traditional sounding girl names. any suggestions??

- Aislinn (I think it's a cute name)
- Annalee/Analeigh (I like this name bc it has the Lee sound without being just Lee/Leigh and plain or boring sounding)
- Caleigh (I'm not sure if I like the pronounciation of Cay-lee or Cal-leigh tho, I've seen it both ways..I want this name bc it means "pure" and gf did like Callie)
- Elizabeth/Elisabeth (one of my all-time fave names!!)
- Emerson (a name that me an gf both really like..I esp love the nn's of Emma or Emmy with this name)
- Greyson/Gracen (I just can't forget this name..it's awesome ok)
- Lily (one of my faves..probably the one I'd really want if Elizabeth or Caleigh was veto'd)
- Raelynn (I just think it's a cute lil name for a girl. I'm sure a lot of ppl think it looks too made up tho)
- Rain (just a lovely name imo. it also has meaning to me be of November Rain)
- Raquel (I'm on the fence about this one. I kind of like it but I'm not sure if I love it. I think Rocky would be a cute nn tho)

Date: 2015-09-07 05:11 pm (UTC)we considered Lily and it's still in the running if we have another girl. i adore Emerson and Gracen! and both sound lovely with Jeannette. Aislinn is beautiful, too.
if you want my honest opinion, i don't care for Raquel.
good luck! :D

I know that's three long names together, but it would meet everyone's wishes 😀
