There's a suburb near me with a fairly average reputation called Annerley, so that's what I hear instead of Annalee.

I'm not sure about American accents but I think you'd say Ann-uh-lee, which sounds beautiful. I prefer it to Annaliese/Annabelle.



I thinking depending on your accent it could be easy to turn into a tease.
Unfortunately in Australia we'd say Anna-lee. I went to High School with an Annaley and she was called Anally.

I prefer the spelling Analeigh (actress/model I like), but if it's said right, it's pretty. But it does lend itself to a lot of anal jokes, unfortunately.

yeah in the south we usually say Ann-uh-lee which is how i would prefer it to be pronounced. i was just thinkin it'd be a nice compromise for gf and hubby since she likes Anna and hubby's middle name is Lee. i'm not opposed to Analeigh either..and it could be said like on-uh-lee and would be ok too, i think.

we still dont kno wat the sex is..hopefully finding out on the 3rd :) but i can't remember if i ran this name by my partners or not. i stumbled upon it when i was watching a youtube channel and she said one of her daughters was named Annalee, i just loved it.

i thought of Analeigh Tipton too (doesnt she pronounce it like on-uh-lee? which would be ok too if ppl pronounced it that way, i'd think) i never thought of anal jokes when i saw it. kids can be mean.
