I used to babysit two little girls named Ciara and Lauryn.
I personally don't like either of these names. Plus, the 'y' in Lauren is just...yeah. I think Ciara would be 7 or 8 years old now and Lauryn is 5 or 6.

Another little girl I babysat for was named Leira, pronounced LEER-UH.
I think her dad was italian or something and leira used to be the italian form of currency if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure if it's spelled the same way and I don't know if her parents purposely named her after that or anything, but that was her name. This name is just OK to me. I wouldn't ever use it. I'm guessing that Leira is 8 or 9 years old. I don't exactly remember.

yea the italian dollar was the first thing i thought of when i read the pronunciation. i think it was spelled lira, but i could be wrong. i went to italy in the early 90s.

ciara i dont like. theres a gross perfume called that. and yea...the y in lauren is just unnecessary. lauren is not a name i would use, but its nice and classic.

I like Ciara and Leira. (the money is lira). I hate Y spellings so Lauryn looks icky to me, but it's otherwise a nice enough name just a bit too common for my taste.

It's not Leira, it's Lira.

That seems odd to me for someone with an Italian parent. That's like an English speaking person naming their child Dollar... It's just not a name. It sounds alright, though. NSM, but okay.

I don't really like Ciara or Lauryn, although I really like Laurel. I've never known or heard of anyone named Leira before, I wouldn't name my kid that, but I don't mind it.

Ciara is beautiful if prn correctly and not like Sierra. Sierra is trashy sounding.

Leira looks like Lair-uh, I don't like it.

It annoys me with everyone pronoucing it as Sierra.
I'm half irish and my cousins name is Ciara pronounced Key-ruh, is people want to name their kid Sierra that's how they should spell it.
