This top 50's is much more my style than what Australia offers, but our accent would butcher quite a few.

I especially love Matias/Mathias/Matheo, I grew up with way too many boys called Matt. Mathea for a girl is very nice too.

And Nora is lovely, its almost unheard of here its around #400

I agree. Would love to use a few of these for future babies but cannot imagine even relatives being able to pronounce them properly, let alone school teachers and friends!

aww my name is on there :) just when you think Amanda is forever an 80s fad lol. no but seriously i think Amanda gets a really bad rep bc every x you tell someone ur an Amanda they automatically think "oh well ur a biatch"..atleast that's wat i've encountered in the states pretty much my entire life ::sigh::

i was named Amanda bc it was a family name. my mom had never heard either of my names til she met my mamaw, really (Amanda Katherine) which i think is really cool now that i'm older bc she took a trendy name like Amanda and paired it with a traditional name like Katherine and now i have actual friends who are envious of my name..a couple have told me so, the same ones who were born in the 80s and given female versions of their father's name and what-not. and my mamaw had been given her name in the early 1900s..after both of her grandmothers who had been given them in the 1800s!! soo yep imo i totally lucked out in the given name dept :) thank god she didnt name wat she almost did Amanda Michelle lol. while it'd still been salvagable with the nn possibilities, it'd been one big 80s horror movie waiting to happen, if ya ask me ;-)

i think it's funny to c my daddy's name on there too. Herman. i'm partial to it bc it's my daddy's name but it's not a name i c very often and it's not a name i would normally use on a child (hubby and i have agreed that Wilton, my daddy's middle name, might be used to honor him on a boy one day and i just like Wilton better probably bc of the easy nn of Wil if it came down to it and to me Wilton just flows better)

about 90% of the girls names are ones i'd actually use. and tbh a lot of the boys names are in my faves too. Emma and Lucas are definitely in the top running atm altho Emma would be a nn for Emerson which is a name i absolutely love for a lil girl :)

it'd be nice to c it make a return into the states and not be treated with such distaste.

Amber seems to be making a bit of a comeback even if only with Amberleigh and it's variations. it was a very popular name in the 80s as well. my gf has a popular name too (altho it might be more early 90s) with Brittany, and it seems to be growing again. i can name a few lil girls with the name, my ex bestie having one of those lol.
