Rumour has it that Natalie Anne Bryant-Hanson, wife of popstar Jordan "Taylor" Hanson (just think MMMBop) had a baby boy on September the 4th. Apparently they named him River.

Hanson fans are amused because their last child "Penelope" was born shortly after Hanson released Penny + Me as a single, and River is that name of one of the songs from Hanson's 1996 Independant Album "MMMBop" (you may have seen a video-clip for it in 1998 as a spin-off from Titanic)

The couples other 2 children are Penelope Anne Hanson (16 months) and Jordan "Ezra" Hanson (4 next month)..

So... RIVER.

i've seen river alot lately. i never thought of it as a name, but i think with the right last name and child, it could work. i dont however, like it with hanson:-/

Not a Hanson fan, but I like Natalie. =) I hate the name Ezra and love Penelope, it's in my top 5 baby girl names.

River reminds me of River Phoenix too much, therefore not my choice of a name.

And by the way, Penny's not 2 yet.

Apart from the obvious River Phoenix connection, i've never heard it before. I imagine it may be a homage to him in many cases

i find it highly amusing that that little boy from hansen is married and has 3 kids!!!! He is actually probably the same as me but I think of him as a little kid still:)

yeah, I'm so with you on that. I'm about to have my second and I think I'm a few years older than him so it seems weird. (at least it's not the youngest one with all the kids, that would be scary - as in it would make me feel old lol)

as for the names I think they're 'ok' as a whole. nothing that makes me want to slap the MMMbop out of them. even River was made not so bad to me bc I got used to hearing it on River Phoenix. *shrug*

Although, in the past, I have seen people get nicknames that had little to do with their names (big guys called tiny, and other weird things)

DISLIKE Ezra.

Actually out of the three, River is the only one I think that I would consider using on my own child.
