Anastasia (if said the Russian way) > Nastia Yekaterina > Katia Yelena > Lena Pelageia Polina (Pal-EE-nah) Viktorina > Vika (Vee-kah) Irina > Ira (Ear-ah) Olga > Olya
Tatiana was spoilt for me by a girl on my year abroad, but another girl gave me a love of names with the diminutive Yana.
I love the ye(е) and i(и) sounds though, so most of my preferences have those letters in the original. I probably won't feel able to use most of them though since most of England can't pronounce the names properly (E.g. Ivan is EE-van, not Eye-van to me). :)
My favourites are Alena and inessa. We are most likely naming our baby girl, who should be here any day!!, Alena, but inessa is our back up Klara is pretty too, as is Raina or inna.
