Too much "sh" for my tastes.

Sher-Sher isn't a lovely sound - We had a similar problem because any name ending with an "a" or "er" sound makes our last name into a different common word and gets confusing.

It doesn't bother me :) It's a little repetitive, but nothing major that I think most people would notice.

I agree with the others. Too much "sher".

I wouldn't let the repetitive sound deter you if you love the name. Most of the time he'll be called by his first name only so if you love Asher there is no reason to not use it.
