[identity profile] laminy.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

I just found out today that Scarlett Johansson had her baby last week, a girl named Rose Dorothy.

points for normalcy, points deducted for boringness, already sounding 107, and for creating a theme with Scarlett.

WDYT?

I love old-fashioned names. I would love Dorothea Rose but Rose Dorothy doesn't flow well. Dorothy Rose would have been better.

Love Rose and really feel attached to Dorothy because it was my Grandma's name (she went by Dot.) Rose Dorothy seems awkward some how but I agree that the opposite would have flowed better.

While Scarlett and Rose are sort of matchy, I don't really have a problem with it.

Dorothy Rose would've flowed better, but any of the names from Golden Girls are alright by me.

I love it. It's very classic sounding.

I agree with others Dorothy or Dorothea Rose flows better and is equally nice.

But Rose as a mn I dont find half as interesting for some reason, I really love seeing it as a first name.

I didnt even notice the connection between Scarlett & Rose.

I love Rose, not a huge fan of Dorothy (I prefer Dorothea, nickname Thea), but the whole name together flows perfectly. :)
