May. 11th, 2014 09:52 pmA friend of mine, knowing my obsession with baby names, shared THIS LINK with me, today. Not gonna lie...while 90% of them are horrendous in ways that can not be put into words...there were a few on there that I would put on my guilty pleasure/"if i were a celebrity" list. So...let's play a little game. If you were naming a baby girl, and that list was THE ONLY "names" you had to choose from...what ones would be on your short list?
Mine are...
Very, Idea, Shandy, Every, Epiphany, Veranda, Haiti, Chutney (wasn't that the name of the daughter on Legally Blonde?), Daily
Favorites are in bold.

Also, this list as a whole is a goldmine for Parody Sue names.

Date: 2014-05-12 01:24 pm (UTC)Chutney was the name of the daughter in Legally Blonde, you're right. Which reminds me of Miranda Hart's parody of the names of the children of the public school girls she went to school with: 'Mozzarella and Bruschetta'.

Date: 2014-05-12 04:05 pm (UTC)I like Semolina because it sounds like Simonetta, and I know a couple people with that name. But but it's a mouthful, so I wouldn't use it (either one).

I like Chutney as a awesome, funny nickname! And wasn't it a nickname on The Simpsons? Something like Chutney Face? :)

I have a friend who's name is Esty and every time I read it I mis-read Etsy. I also have a co-worker who named his daughter with the middle name Medulla (for Medulla Oblongata in the brain. (we're brain scientists)) and every time he's asked about it says: "It means middle! her middle name means middle, how cool is that?!" Ugh.
