Can you ever be as sure about your second baby's name as you were the first (if they are the same gender)? DD's name is perfect and 2 years on, I'm still in love with it. She's called Wren Melissa. If baby is a boy, we'll use our boy name from last time, Willoughby Jonathan, which I still adore. I just can't get as excited about any new girls' names, though. My current favourite is Isolde Elizabeth, by I'm just not as absolutely sure of it as I was with Wren. Is it because Isolde isn't the right name or will I not feel that certainty this time?

Date: 2014-02-23 09:04 pm (UTC)as for girls, obviously we had another name picked during my second pregnancy, in case he was a girl, and during my third pregnancy changed our minds and went with a different one (had a boy again) and then when we had #4 I was sure it was a girl.. we went back to the name we had picked during our 4th pregnancy and I still rather like it (she is 5 now). incidentally we never did pick a new boy name that pregnancy.
#5, finally let my husband pick a name. I'm not a in love with it as I am with my first two girl names but it was his choice and he loves it so it's ok. we picked a boy name we were 'meh' about but we had a girl anyway.
#6.. girl pick was again my husband's. but we had a boy. we were still waffling on names up to several days after he was born, but finally came up with one that I think goes quite well with the first two and am still happy with it. much better than the one we'd picked during our 5th pregnancy.
