The advice I got from here was great. So thank you all for helping me figure out baby names:)
Henry Elliott was born 1/28 and joins Elijah Rafe Bodien, Amelia Rose Marie, and Esme Genevieve Colette.
Also, our oldest will be changing his name. He wants his (step) father's last name and while we're at it we're changing his middle name. So he will become Elijah John, after his dad. He's very excited to get rid of his current middle and last names. And it will help him feel a full part of the family since the new baby has made him feel left out with a different last name.

Date: 2014-02-11 07:46 am (UTC)How old is your oldest boy? I'm deciding whether I want to give my 6 year old son the option to change his last name now or wait until he's older to decide. I don't want him to feel left out or like he's not part of the family but at the same time I know he loves his current last name.
Also, by changing his middle name - do you mean both middle names or just one? Was there a story behind Rafe?

Date: 2014-02-11 09:49 pm (UTC)He is 10. At first he wanted to keep his last name (my mom's maiden name) but the more pregnant I got the more he started thinking about names, he wanted Henry to have his last name, so we asked if he wanted to change his last name, and since no one likes his middle names, those are going, too.
Rafe and Bodien are brothers and my mom wanted them his middle names, it mattered to her and I didn't care. But besides the fact my husband hates them, the guys aren't really savory characters. At all. So it's not the best namesake to have, and Elijah isn't crazy about the names themselves either.
