a girl on fb named her son Remmick.
it's different and i might like it in a book or as a movie character's name.
but idk about a real life kid.

wdyt of the name Khaleesi??
it's from the game of thrones.
i'm assuming it's dathraki (a language in the show) meaning princess.
idk i like it.
another name from the game of thrones i'm really loving is Arya :)

I kinda dig Remmick, maybe not so much the spelling? I don't know I guess lol

I do actually like Khaleesi and Arya as well. I also like the name/spelling Alysanne from the books.

I knew the meanest, brattiest kid ever named Arya (or maybe it was Aria?) so I'm not a fan, personally. However, I think it makes a much better name than Khaleesi!

I don't care for Khaleesi, but I imagine it will be appearing more often

There are two babies called Khaleesi in my local sling group. Really not a fan.

Similarly, an "Emerick" came into my job today. His mother said "it's like lim-a-rick without the l in lim". o_o

I like her name, Daenerys. Khaleesi is a title. I like it about as much as I would like someone naming their kid princess. Which is, not at all.

I love Arya. :)

Remmick sounds terrible.

Arya is a boy's name to me (Aria the more feminine, still not my favorite).

Khaleesi is a title, yes, and a nice sounding one but not a "real person" name, IMO.

Remmick makes me think of Lee Remick, a beautiful actress from the '60s and '70s. It also makes me think of the Vin Diesel character, Riddick.

Khaleesi is a title, not a name. It's the Dothraki equivalent of a queen, as the Khaleesi is married to the Khal.

I do love Arya, though. It's fun and spunky, like the character.

I really enjoy Sansa but I think that's the only name from the show that I could ever see myself using, other than Edric.

Khaleesi is a bit ridiculous.

Remmick is kind of cool. I've never heard it before, so I don't really know what to do with it. But it's not bad.

Khaleesi is horrible. And I feel like it will get more popular. I hate the name Arya, but at least it could work in a real world setting, which Khaleesi could not. I actually really love the names Theon and Renly from ASOIAF.

I'm a Sansa fan too, and it looks like no one is calling their kids Sansa, despite the simplicity of the name. Must be the character's own unpopularity. (But I still love her.)

Khaleesi though: I can see why it's catching on. It has the "Kayla" sound, or maybe "Cally", then the girlish "Lysie", possibly "Lisa". Despite the foreign spelling, it has common name sounds. If it was spelled Kalysie or Calisi it may seem more like a regular name.

Khaleesi is Dothraki meaning queen, not princess. But I would not name a child that, as Dothraki is a made-up language and therefore khaleesi is a made-up word that does not actually mean queen (and even if it did, it's a title. It would be like naming a child Queen.)
