Jan. 8th, 2014 09:01 pma girl on fb named her son Remmick.
it's different and i might like it in a book or as a movie character's name.
but idk about a real life kid.
wdyt of the name Khaleesi??
it's from the game of thrones.
i'm assuming it's dathraki (a language in the show) meaning princess.
idk i like it.
another name from the game of thrones i'm really loving is Arya :)

Date: 2014-01-09 02:09 am (UTC)I do actually like Khaleesi and Arya as well. I also like the name/spelling Alysanne from the books.

Date: 2014-01-09 05:11 pm (UTC)Khaleesi is a title, yes, and a nice sounding one but not a "real person" name, IMO.

Date: 2014-01-10 03:09 pm (UTC)Khaleesi is a title, not a name. It's the Dothraki equivalent of a queen, as the Khaleesi is married to the Khal.
I do love Arya, though. It's fun and spunky, like the character.

Date: 2014-01-11 08:08 am (UTC)Khaleesi is a bit ridiculous.

Date: 2014-01-11 09:42 pm (UTC)Khaleesi is horrible. And I feel like it will get more popular. I hate the name Arya, but at least it could work in a real world setting, which Khaleesi could not. I actually really love the names Theon and Renly from ASOIAF.

Date: 2014-01-13 03:26 am (UTC)Khaleesi though: I can see why it's catching on. It has the "Kayla" sound, or maybe "Cally", then the girlish "Lysie", possibly "Lisa". Despite the foreign spelling, it has common name sounds. If it was spelled Kalysie or Calisi it may seem more like a regular name.
