Halle Berry and her husband Oliver Martinez have a new son, named Maceo Robert. According to the article I just read, Maceo is a Spanish version of Matthew, which has the same meaning (gift of god) and was popular through the ninth to fourteenth centuries. Oliver is Spanish. And Robert is Oliver's dad's name.

Maceo is Halle Berry's second child; she also has a daughter named Nahla Ariela.

WDYT?

I had assumed that it was pronounced along of the lines of 'mah-che-oh' but it turns out, from what I can find, that it's more like 'may-see-oh' which I really don't like.

As a Spanish speaker I would pronounce it Mah-say-oh.

I know someone named Macio. When I first saw it written down, I assumed it was "MAH-chee-oh," too, and so did everyone else, but he also pronounces it "MAY-see-oh." I'm not a fan.

I like the way it looks but there's too much issue on the pronunciation for me (although I'm not French). I feel like it doesn't got AT ALL with Nahla.

I pronounced it the way they do. I actually really like it (which shocks me since I usually prefer more common, classic names).
