Just saw this on a boy-girl twinset: Quin Lian and Quin Lan.

Father's first name is Quinlan. *slow applause*

I'm wondering if this is from a culture where the equivalent of the surname actually goes in the front of the name. I think this is how Chinese names work.

I went to high school with a b/g twinset names Fernlee and Fernele (and dad shared son's name)-- I will never understand :O

I was wondering that, too. The "Lian" part made me think Chinese for some reason, I don't know why.

I'm pretty sure Lian is Chinese.

This just seems like a very cultural way to name. Nothing wrong with these names at all.
