A local radio station put a name up for debate, because a listener emailed in regarding what they want to name their son.

Mom and dad are firm on the first name "Chase". Mom wants to use her maiden name as his middle name. The maiden name? Heiney. Dad is less than thrilled and not agreeing.

So, baby name gurus. WDYT of Chase Heiney?

Well, that is the mom's maiden name, proposed as the middle name. Not the last name.

Mom is nuts. And cruel to want to name her kid Chase Heiney. I read it as Chase Henry at first and thought that was bad enough. This is much worse by a power of 100. What makes her think Heiney is a good name for a child, even as a middle name? Did she not get teased to death with it as her last name? Why inflict it on her own child?

This was my first thought too. Poor kid. I'm so glad nobody can pronounce my middle name. Saves a lot of teasing in the end, honestly.

I have an old school friend with that middle name. It's a snicker worthy name on it's own, it should NEVER be put with a verb:( If she's grown up with the name she should know the teasing that comes with it so what on earth is she thinking?

Well, besides not liking the name Chase, it sounds like you are telling people to chase Henry.
