[identity profile] charuby.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I work in a charity shop. A mother and her three daughters brought in some donations. One of the daughters told my manager that their mother wanted people to think that their clothes were designer and unique, so she cut out the labels and put in her own labels, complete with her daughters' full names and the size of the garment.

Harriet
Hannah
Haidee

Their last name? Hunt.

So now, we've got lots of clothes hanging up with labels that say 'Harriet Hunt', 'Hannah Hunt' and 'Haidee Hunt' on them.

WDYT? FAR too many H sounds in my opinion. Harriet and Hunt ends in a sharp T sound as well. It's quite a mouthful. I do like the name Harriet though. Hannah's nice but a little boring for my tastes. I don't like Haidee.

ALSO:

My manager's ex sister in law is having a little girl and has decided already to call her Oceana (O-shee-arna). She's got a son already, called Ashton. I like Ashton, but for me Oceana is too flambouyant.
