I've been feeling like I need some fresh names on my lists, so I went through the English names list on BtN. I'll probably go through some of the other categories at some point, but here are the names I am thinking of adding (almost entirely as potential middles) to my list:

Barnaby
Bram
Brook
Darwin
Gregory
Jude
Sampson

Edith
Leona
Margot

I like the sound of Barnaby, Bram, and Darwin, but I probably wouldn't wind up using them, even as middle names. Ordinarily, I only put names I would use on my list, but I'm thinking of adding any name that I like and just bolding the ones I would use to differentiate. Brook I like, but it doesn't really go with most of the other names on my list. While I adore Gregory, I hate Greg, so it would be middle name only. Jude and Sampson would also be middle name contenders.

Edith I have mentioned before here. It would be a middle name because I don't want Edie to be pronounced Eddie. Leona could be a first name. Margot may be a middle name.

Thoughts?

I like Leona. I like Gregory a little but I don't like Greg, so I wouldn't use that because he would inevitably end up being called that.

I adore Jude, but I'm German and my names have to hold their own in both countries. Jude is definitely a no in Germany!

I'm not in Germany, but that association is actually part of why it has take so long for me to finally put it on my list. I wasn't sure if it was odd for someone who was raised Catholic to use it. (I'm not actually religious; I don't know if that makes it better or weirder). I'm not sure how many people in the US hear Jude and think Jew, but I am definitely aware of the connection.
