So the state is abuzz (well maybe only I am) about the Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer and his wife's newly born twins.  Yes a Twins player had twins, how fitting.  He's a local boy so Minnesota loves him, doesn't hurt that he is really good looking.  Anyway, the names are Maren Virginia and Emily Teresa.  The middle names are the grandmas names.

I like Maren Virginia more than Emily Teresa. In fact I really like Maren Virginia. I think in general it's a nice set though! Emily and Maren are cute together.

How do you think Maren Mauer sounds? Just curious... I loved the name Marlow for our daughter, but our last name is part of the word Marlow, so I just didn't think it worked. Maren Mauer is really similar as well...

I skimmed over the last name. Maren Mauer is reallllly similar. Too similar IMO. I'm not a fan of that. I do like Maren as name though.
