I have an older cousin (she's got to be 60 or thereabouts) whose first name is the name of one of her father's former girlfriends. It's not a new thing, and apparently where I live, it wasn't all that uncommon once upon a time.

Still odd as hell, though (if my uncle was still living, I'd ask him what my aunt thought of that).

Ugh. My MIL did this for all her son's middle names. She told me she did it so she could always remember a time when she was "young and desirable." Did I mention she is a complete narcissist? I think it is a weird, creepy thing to name kids after, and I find it really disturbing that I've now heard of multiple people doing it! :(

wow. i could never name my child Corbin Dereck Michael Jonas Bradley altho the names do flow pretty well lol. my husband would file for divorce. and i would never want to name our child after his exes which would result in Rosemary Shani April Kimberly..oh my..
