I was served by a young woman around 23-25. Her name was Jessminda. I looked it up and apparently it's an actual name. It's Indian.

WDYT? I don't like it, personally.

I like it! Makes me think of Parminder Nagra's character in Bend It Like Beckham!

FYI, you can be Indian and British. British does not equal white.

I love it (and yeah, the Bend it Like Beckham reference helps).

I don't think a comment on her race/ethnicity was relevant, no. There are plenty of names white people use that have been taken from other cultures, y'know? :)

I really like the sound of most of the -minda/-cinda/-linda names, but I don't really like Mindy, Cindy or Linda as nicknames, so I'll probably never use them. But I like them on other people. Maybe also because I have good associations with people with that -inda sound.

I like the way this name sounds! Very feminine, without being cutesy-fied.

I think it's pretty. I'm another person who knows it from Bend It Like Beckham. ;)

I went to Uni with a Jasminda, which I think is a bit prettier than Jessminda. Indian names often have spelling variations.

I love it. It's basically an Indian form of Jasmine, I think, along with Jessamine and Yasmin.
