I have baby #4 on the way. My kid's names are Elijah, Amelia, and Esme. We have our boy name set...Henry, that's been easy, after his grandfather and having two girls together that name has been waiting for awhile. But because of our two girls we're pretty sure we'll have another girl and because we've already named two girls, coming up with another has been on the rough side. I've made a list and am letting my husband veto them to narrow the list down, though so far he's only refused two, so here is my current list:

Norah
Cora
Alice
Holly
Adeline
Wendy
Lucy
Ella
Leila
Emma
Juniper
Katherine
Charlotte
Evelyn
Adella
Dahlia
Scarlett
Audrey
Natalie
Eloise
River
Matilda

I'm pretty sure the top half of the list will be gone when he gets a chance to really sit and go through the names, LOL, and while he was WTF WILLOW? I'm surprised he didn't say that about River, hahaha. But I'm sure it'll come, he likes classic traditional names. My style is just whatever I happen to think sounds pretty when I envision another little blondie like my current two girls.

Alice is hands down my favorite, but with an Esme already, and the Twilight books, I don't know about using it. My other current favorites of the list are Audrey and Katherine (as in the Hepburn, old hollywood fame), Matilda (little Mattie, aww), Charlotte (Lottie), and Scarlett.

You seem to have a theme going on, nothing super tight or thematic, but classic names from history and literature. Elijah from the Bible, Amelia (Earhart comes to mind, but many other famous real and literary figures), and Esme is a titular character from a JD Salinger story.

I like it! I like your options too.

Audrey and Katherine work really well. I like Maltilda too. Charlotte is great. Would you consider Adelaide?

I have to say I find the idea of an A name to be really cute, considering you already have two E's. Adeline stood out to me immediately from your list :)

Matilda/Mattie is very cute, but if it's important to you to keep popularity in mind, because of Madison, Madi/Maddy is very popular, so Mattie would blend in. If that matters to you, of course. And if it does, Emma (and Emily) is/has been at the top of the list of popularity, so that's another to keep in mind.

Norah/Nora is awesome, and although I like Cora better, I think Cora is more popular and I like normalish but less popular names, personally. I like Natalie and Adella, Audrey, Dahlia, Leila... Heck, I like just about ALL your names. I think we have a lot of the same taste.

Audrey and Aubrey have been long time faves of mine, Scarlett, Dahlia and Charlotte get my votes. You seem to have an inadvertent theme going on with the E, A, E names. I think maybe that can help narrow the names down for you. Alice is very cute and honestly even though I've read and watched the twilight movies, all I thought was Alice in Wonderland, which I love. Emma is way too close to Esme in my opinion and River is more a boys name in my head and so out of left field from your other children that I think people will go, huh?!

Congrats :) I think we were in the same due date community when Amelia was born!

I like pretty much all of those. River, Cora and Dahlia are favs.

I like longer names that you / they can make their own nicknames or shortforms from. In particular Charlotte and Katherine are among my own favourites :)

I love your kids names, especially Esme! From your list, my favorites are Norah, Lucy and Matilda. I think they would go well with your other kids' names.

I like most of these names to varying degrees. I especially like Cora, Alice, Juniper, and Charlotte. However, your other children's names are vowel heavy and thus, very soft sounding. I would go with another soft name.

Out of your list, these are the ones that feel soft enough to me (with comments explaining why I further pair it down for my final opinion):

Norah
Alice
Adeline
Lucy
Ella - Seems to close to your other girls' names, like a combination between Amelia and Esme almost. Also, Esme, and Ella both start with an 'eh' sound. Actually, depending on if you say EE-lie-zhuh, uh-lie-zhuh, or eh-lie-zhuh, it might have the same or very similar sound too.
Leila - Feels too close to Amelia.
Emma - Same as Ella.
Charlotte -At nine letters, it looks a little long next to your other names.
Evelyn - Same as Ella and Emma as far as starting sound.
Adella - Sounds too close to Amelia.
Dahlia - I don't care for it in a sibset with Amelia because they both end in "l-ya" sound.
Audrey
Eloise - Same as Ella, Emma, and Evelyn on the starting sound.

So basically, by my super picky standards, it's down to Norah, Alice, Adeline, Lucy, or Audrey. My top picks would be, in order, Alice, Adeline, and Audrey. ...Unless you plan on having more kids and don't want to feel locked into the E, A, E, A pattern. Then, Norah beats Lucy.

I love River for a girl, but I think Katherine, Charlotte, Scarlett, Audrey, or Matilda would go best with your sibset. I also like Eloise and Evelyn, but I don't know if you want a third "E" name. Natalie and Adella are sweet, but I don't know if they're as weighty as some of the other choices.

Honestly, if you love Alice, use it. No one will care about Twilight by the time she's in high school. Alice would sound really nice with the other three and almost all of your other favorites would work as a middle. Alice Matilda is especially spunky.

I agree with basically everything said here.

To fit with the sibset, I'd vote for Alice or Lucy.

The names of your children are not sharp sounding and all begin with vowels, so I think it would be nice to carry on with the theme. With two E names already, I think you should go with a name that begins with A. And I have to say, Alice wins hands down for me. But can I suggest three more names from my fave name list?

Alana
Alyssa
Ariel

I don't think anyone will make the Alice/Esme association. Alice is a pretty common name on its own.

I love most of your names - Norah, Alice, Adeline, Lucy, Ella, Emma, Katherine (I prefer it with a C), Charlotte, Adella, Audrey, and Natalie. My favorites are Alice, Emma, Charlotte, and Adella. I think Alice and Adella go best with your sibset (since I know that's something you care about).

Love the classic nature of all of your names :D Which is why it's surprising you don't like John! (I really like Henry, btw. I read the posts here backwards.)
