sibset with a new to me name
Jun. 10th, 2013 11:15 pmAfter church on Sunday, a bunch of kids/young adults were playing pick-up hockey in the parking lot, and I was watching and chatting. Three brothers: Aidan, Ronan and Cashel. Ronan looked about nine, Cashel about four; Aidan was only mentioned as an older brother, so I have no idea how old he is. I can't be sure about spelling as I only heard them spoken.
Cashel was completely new to me and when I Googled it I first guessed the spelling was "Cassiel". But given how Irish the other two names are, I'm pretty sure it's meant to be Cashel.
I thought it was kind of an interesting progression, going from the super popular, and at this point arguably oversaturated Aidan, to the upwardly trending but still not too common Ronan, to the extremely unusual (at least for now) Cashel.
WDYT?
