A friend on Facebook became an uncle to a girl and a boy twin set: Everest Cade and Evelyn Hazel.

I really love the name Evelyn Hazel, but I also think it would flow nicer if the name was Hazel Evelyn.

Not crazy about most of it, but Evelyn was our chosen mn if this baby was a girl. It beat Rosalind for my husband, and it's to honor my aunt whose mn is Lynn.

But it makes me sad when twins get rhyming or matching names. I'm sure no one would ever notice they come in a set without it! o_O

I have never minded the rhyming/matching initial stuff... I think it's over-thinking done by most people (I share an initial with a sib and have the exact same name as my mother and trust me... I survived!). So in all... could have been better? Sure. Could have been worse? OH YES MA'AM.

Everest Cade is not my thing at all but Evelyn is one of my favourite names and it goes pretty well with Hazel :)

Evelyn Hazel is gorgeous. I love both names, but I love Hazel even more than Evelyn. Evelyn is super popular around me and I know like 3 baby Evelyn's.

Everest Cade is ok. I like Everest ok. I LOVE Everett and prefer it to Everest. Cade is meh to me, though.

Evelyn and Everest are wayyy too similar though!!!

See, this is hard because I really like Evelyn Hazel. Just not with Everest. Especially if they're twins. Also, the styles seem off---classic names vs. nature names, which just makes me wonder if they picked them because they sound so similar.
