What do you guys think of these names?

Annabel
Emerald
Felicity
Harmony
Laura
Marina
Melody
Nora

Emerald and Harmony seem tacky to me at times (especially Harmony), but at other times I love them. Guilty pleasures, maybe. Laura, Melody, and Annabel are my favorites out of that list. .

I like Nora the best, and then Laura, but that's just because I like the -ora, -uara sound.

I always thought it kind of weird, but understandable, to name people after precious stones & materials: Opal, Diamond, Ruby, Pearl, etc

Annabel - love (which is strange because I dislike Anna and Belle/Bella.
Emerald - doesn't work well as a name imo.
Felicity - nice
Harmony - I used to know a Harmony. It's not a favorite of mine, but I think it's nicer and more interesting than other virtue names.
Laura - Ok. I'd prefer Laurel.
Marina - Pretty
Melody - Don't care for it, I'm not sure why.
Nora - Don't like it at all. Seems dowdy and bland to me.

Annabel..I plan on naming my daughter this (due in October) but spelt a little differnt
Emerald..is a pretty color and so is the name!
Felicity..has always reminded me of dental floss for some reason
Harmony..can be kinda tacky but it sounds so pure at other times..like hope and faith
Laura..I think its just a really overused first name
Marina..If I'm pronouncing this right in my head..kinda reminds me of Dan Morino
Melody..Reminds me of a very beautiful classical song
Nora..I love it because its diverse and I don't know many people with a "N' first name.

Ive always loved the name Nora. and After hearing it on Cheaper By The Dozen i decided it wasnt too weird for use. Its my number one girls name right now. I also love Felicity and Annabel but my Fiance hates both names but I say use them if you can!

Annabel - Eh. It's too like, chic-popular to me.
Emerald - Love it.
Felicity - Love it. Huffman!
Harmony - A little tacky, you're right.
Laura - I have a good association, but I don't really like the name.
Marina - Love it! I am trying to talk my sister into this one (they are TTC) right now.
Melody - It's all right. I'm not a fan of Y's at the ends of girls' names.
Nora - It's all right. Makes me think of Nora Ephron, so I guess it's good.

Emerald - Nice as a middle name, tacky as first name IMO.
Felicity - Very nice name.

Laura - Very over-used IMO
Marina - Ok, I guess... again, not really for me.
Melody - Josie & the Pusscats :)! It reminds me too much of "Melanie", which I really don't like.
Nora - "Dolls house" :)! Not really my tastes though.

I agree with you on Harmony. Sometimes I think it just sounds horribly tacky, but other times I like it. Maybe I can use it on a pet or something. :P

Haha, my boyfriend hates pretty much every name I like. The only two names we've been able to agree upon so far are Emma and Lila, both of which we used for our kittens because we wouldn't actually use them on a baby for various reasons.

Nice list. You picked out the ones that I like least--Emerald more than Harmony to me though, it sounds very tacky to me. HOWEVER. Annabel, Felicity, Laura, Marina, Melody and Nora are all beautiful names in my opinion. I'd absolutely consider using Nora for a child, it's right on the top of my list (I like it as a nickname for Eleanor); Annabel is so classy and dainty and beautiful; and Melody is aining popularity again now, but is nonetheless a favourite of mine, mainly for the meaning (I also like Cadence).

Annabel - it's ok. I don't hate it.
Emerald - I don't like this one much. As a MN, I think it could work.
Felicity - nice, but nms

Laura - boring, but nice
Marina - I hate it, but lot's of people love it .
Melody - I could never use it because I don't have any musical talent. But I like it.

I'm a Laura. =) I've always kinda wanted to be a Lauren though. It may be a little boring but I'd rather be a Laura than a Maddysyn any day.
