There's been a baby boom in my circle of friends recently, almost all first births.

I *might* be inclined to give two of my children names beginning with the same letter, provided I like both names, the names weren't really similar, and as long as the children weren't twins. For example, we have a Henry, and we've toyed around with calling our next child Hector or Hannah.

I've always hated matchy twins names (I went to elementary school with girls named Pastelle and Emmanuelle), so I shudder at the parents' decision to basically give their twins the same name. Seriously, Aleksandr and Aleksandra? Who does that? How uncreative are you?

I like Melodie, Elizabeth & Samantha, Petra & Louis (I really like Louis and was considering it for our next baby if he were a boy. I wouldn't use Petra but I like it in this sibset), Lucas, and Audreanne.
