I have nothing against this name spelled properly but I came across it on facebook spelled like this and I almost vomited:

Kaelah

I kept wanting to pronounce it Kaley or Keely. I was so confused for a while.

I have to admit, I love the ae combo. And I like the h at the end of names (Norah, Sarah, Hannah, etc.). So there are elements of the spelling that I like, but it is definitely creative.

Kay-la? How do you pronounce it? I'm not familiar with it...

ew. That annoys me. I have a friend who named her baby girls Haydlei and Mylei, which also still annoys me to no end. . .

It's more the 'h' that throws me. I want to say Kay-LAH, emphasizing it wrong (assuming its meant to be 'Kayla')

As a Kayla, I hate my name spelt any other way, but I have to admit, I don't hate the look of Kaelah as much as other variations I've seen. I know of a Kaila, which makes me want to say KY-la every time I see it.
