How do you feel about the name Rowan (for a baby boy)? We're toying with Rowan Benjamin or Rowan Anders at the moment.

I thought Rowan was going to sky rocket a few years ago, but it's kind of stabilized in popularity. I actually really love the name. Rowan Benjamin is nice.

I personally think of it as a girls name, because I know one 2 year old girl with the name, and one adult woman who uses it as her SCA name.

I work in an elementary school as a teacher's aide and we have two Rowan's- I think the name is becoming more popular, especially for boys. I like Rowan Benjamin :)

I prefer Rowan Anders but that's because the same sound at the end of two names doesn't feel right to me. Love Rowan!

I prefer Rohan than Rowan but its an okay name - I see it as a boys name (and I usually see unisex names as girls names).

I love Rowan for a boy. I had never heard or thought of it as a girl's name until last week, when my friend mentioned a friend who will be naming her unborn daughter Rowan. I don't really care for it for a girl.

Rowan Benjamin is gorgeous. I've always thought Rowan was a boy's name because the three girls I've known with the name spelt it "Rowen". I much prefer it for boys either way.

Same here, I've never heard it on boys. Actress Brooke Sheilds has a daughter named Rowan. If you want a similar name more associated with boys try Ronan.

I love Rowan on a boy. We had considered using Rowan Blue for several weeks for our son. I like your middle name options better though. Rowan Benjamin or Rowan Anders would sound make a great name!

I know two guys named Rohan, both born in the 80s I think. Or the youngest might be an early 90s kid.

I like it. I am irritated by all these parents who give boys' names to girls -- I never knew *any* girls were named Rowan before reading the comments here.
