Recently I was told that this woman who began to work at our company has a daughter named Heaven Leigh. That's not a first and middle name, but the entirety of the first name and said all as one.

I have to admit I was slightly surprised to find out that this woman wasn't a younger mother, but in fact, middle-aged. I've only ever really heard Heaven-related names from the younger generation.

WDYT?

I see what she did there. lol. I can't say I'm a huge fan, but it's sort of clever how she did it.

This might have been cheeky BEFORE V.C. Andrews wrote a book about a girl named that.

Also, hate heaven names so much. I am usually hoping people with them are atheists when they grow up or like... car robbers or something.

Oh that Victoria... I must admit I was addicted to the Flowers in the Attic series. I never liked the names she chose after that. Christopher, Catherine, Carrie (LOVE this name) and Cory were all nice names and since they didn't look TOO much alike I didn't even mind the sibset (of course, I could be biased because incest novels always have a special place in my heart). But her later books became very lackluster to me and I could not, for the life of me, read Heaven Leigh as a name over and over.

I must admit I am a fan (sad fan, really) of mythology names and I know if I ever have a son and actually do name him Ares he willl most likely be a vegan ballet dancer (which I'm down with seeing as I am a vegetarian book worm). I am well aware of this but I think that these people using the Heaven names have to be some kind of fundie jesus-worshiping kind of person and that makes it funny when their kids turn out completely different from what they expected.

Edited because I, apparently, cannot make coherent sentenses.

I have a friend named Heaven Leigh and she's almost 19. She went by Charlotte for most of her elementary school days (her middle name) because she hated getting teased about her name and didn't switch back until high school. Although there is a hilarious story about her punching some kid when she was like 11 or 12 because he had made fun of her name. After she punched him, she said "You've just been touched by an angel" and walked away.

It took me a moment, because I just saw the name, I didn't really hear it. Then I actually read the name and went ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

if it's an older woman, perhaps she wasnt sure she'd ever have children or waited a loooong time to have one so when she did get pregnant she decided to give it a cutesy name bc it was a miracle baby..&& didnt wanna use Miracle, Innocence, Precious, Angel, Baby Love, etc bc those are all older trends (idk about Baby Love tho i kinda just made that one up lol) soo wat i'm sayin is this, there may be a reason or story behind the name..

i dont particularly like the name Heaven but it could be worse. it could be a creative spelling or something awkward. && i had a friend yrs ago that had a lil sister named Heaven Leigh. i guess she'd be 23 or so now. Pretty girl, cute name, win win i guess. i did meet a girl named Sunshine 1x thru an ex && she was all frowny, pastey, with dyed black hair..not very "sunny" you kno lol.
