I am a friend of a friend with someone on Facebook who has a daughter named: D'Zhyyrae (prn like Desirae). But when you do a quick scroll down his page, or look at the pictures she is in on her grandma's or aunt's or cousins' pages... it is spelled:
D'zhyra
Dezyyrae

D'Ezrae
Dezerae
D'Zhyray

What are the odds this own kid won't be able to spell her name correctly? LOL!

But really... WHY? What is wrong with just "Desirae" or "Desiree"??

If they family can't even spell the name...wow...The child is probably going to be so confused on how to spell her name when the time comes since no one can get it right.

To be perfectly honest, if I were ever crazy enough to name my child D'Zhyyrae, my sister would never spell it correctly. Not because she couldn't, but because she would be to damn lazy to learn how to spell it the way it should be.

On the other hand, I really don't think that many family members should be spelling a name wrong. That is a completely ridiculous spelling and that child will have the hardest time learning how to spell it. She is doomed to a lifetime of correcting her spelling of it and other people's spelling of it. Poor girl.

Well at least they all knew it started with a D, lol. And contained a Z. Poor child. Poor, poor child.

I actually really like Desiree as a name but that is just butchering it. Also if everyone is struggling to spell it, you're doing it wrong parents :p

Why would you do that to your kid, do they hate her or something?

Half my family can't spell my brother's name - Jonathan. He regularly gets Johnathan and Jonathon. But I'm not surprised that poor girl's family are confused!

I don't know why people like creative spelling names so much (and most probably get offended if you misspell it) when people have a hard time misspelling common enough names. I've probably posted this here, but I have a friend named Erik, and I can't tell you how many times, his friends will spell it Eric, even though they're on his Facebook page and it's right there.
