Date: 2012-09-06 01:03 am (UTC)I want to pronounce Lyaness like "lioness". I try not to be too judgmental, but most of the spellings here are laughable.
Also, I can't stand Gracin/Gracyn because I work at an amusement park where we sell a lot of personalized merchandise (necklaces, cups, keychains, etc.), and this lady said to her son, "Oh, Grace. We can get that for your sister." I started talking to her and pointed to my nametag saying, "Oh, yeah, Grace. You know, there weren't any Graces when I was little but now---" and the lady said, "Grace or Gracyn? My daughter's name is Gracyn." And her voice just dripped with tones of "You're stupid."

Date: 2012-09-06 01:25 am (UTC)I also try for a non-judgmental approach but that whole list made me either laugh or want to cry for the kids!
Btw, Grace is MUCH prettier, consider yourself the far more fortunate one. I can deal with Gracelyn, but Gracyn makes no sense at all to me.

Date: 2012-09-09 04:29 am (UTC)Gracin makes me sad because I like it spelled Gracyn (for a girl); I think it's more feminine. After typing it out, I realized, it's Josh Gracin's last name. Azlyn makes me think of the Lion in the Chronicles of Narnia. Fiona makes me think of Shrek.
