soo i've always liked the name Cera, but my husband has shot that down. i thought Cera Ashley or Cera Aislinn / Cera Ashlynn would be a pretty combo since my husband wanted to incorporate Ash(e) in there somewhere. wdyt?

in the last few weeks, Evalena (i'm not sure on the actual spelling but it'd be pronounced Ehv-uh-lean-uh) has become a bit of an obsession of mine lol. i fell in love with it from a DW episode :) i was wondering if Effy would be too far of a stretch for a nn?? && River has caught my eye too. not only bc of DW but bc a family that i met at the beginning of the summer had a lil girl named River && it just sounded adorable && suited the child quite nicely tbh. wdyt?

we're still not sure wat we'd use as the actual names for J.D. but we have agreed we both of us like John Darius Wilton..so i'm sure that'll the be winner lol. i like John Dallas Wilton but i do think Dallas is very cute on a girl..soo that's still up for debate. wdyt, do you like Dallas on a boy or a girl or does it not matter??

Evelina is the traditional spelling.

Is Cera pronounced the same as Sarah? If so why not just spell it Sarah? Unless you're a huge Michael Cera fan.

River and Dallas are both extremely NMS.

Cera looks like you're trying too hard.

Evalina is nice.
I like River, but for boys.

John Darius is nice. I'm not really a fan of Dallas, but it sounds better on a boy.

I like Sarah, but Cera does immediately make me think of Michael Cera. I've never heard/seen it used as a first name.

Evalena is pretty, and I immediately pronounced it the way you like it, although I'm sure you'll have some mispronunciation issues. Effy makes sense as a nickname.

I like River more for a boy, but I've also liked it on a girl since watching Firefly. :)

I really like John, and the nickname J.D. John Darius is ok, John Dallas is very... cowboy? I don't know, but I don't like it much, although I like Dallas fine individually. I don't like Dallas on a girl.

What does NMS mean?

Cera makes me think of The Land Before Time. ;)

I like River, but my husband shot down both River and Amelia when I suggested them, saying he refused to name our kid after DW characters. I tried to point out that River was from Firefly too but he won't budge. ;) Willow is a no-go as well. -sigh-

Cera makes me think of the little triceratops from The Land Before Time. As a given name, I don't like it. I much prefer the traditional Sarah. I have toyed with it as a nickname for Ceridwen, but that would be a different pronunciation.

Evalena/Evelina is okay. Not really my thing. Effy seems like a little bit of a stretch to me.
I do like River.

I really like John. I really dislike Darius. I also really dislike Dallas. It's very cowboy as someone else said. If it has to be used, it should be on a boy though. It sounds very masculine to me.

I like Evelina, it's pretty. Not sure about Effy for a nickname though, but I guess a nickname doesn't have to come from the name itself so if you want to use it, go for it.
Not too big of a fan of River.
Don't like Cera, but I do like Aislinn.

Dallas is a boys name to me, but I don't like it. Darius is better but not a fan of that either. John is nice though.

My sister's name is Sarah and she used to use Cera when she was a teenager to make it more unique. Also, because it was the way the triCERAtops spelled it in Land Before Time which she loved when she was a kid. That didn't last very long, though. I don't like it. Sara or Sarah. Why Cera?

Evalena is pretty but I prefer Evalina as someone mentioned above. I like River but it's always been a boys name to me.

Do not like Dallas as a name for a girl or a boy. At all.
