I love my son, I am excited to be 21 weeks pregnant with another little boy. I HATE naming boys. Girl names are easy, if we had a girl she would have been Amelia Grace, but we cannot find boy names that we love to save our lives.

It took us forever to name our now 2 year old son, Nicholas Cael, who day to day goes by his middle name of Cael (pronounced Kale, like the vegetable). And it is now taking us forever to agree on a name for the boy on the way.

We both kind of like Isaac or Jacob, he prefers Isaac, I prefer Jacob (mainly because I associate Isaac with the devil child from when I taught preschool Sunday school, and that child was evil and mean and horrible and he was only 3), but we cannot find a middle name that we love the way we loved the name Cael. We vaguely can agree on Isaac Dai (websites vary on pronunciation of Day or Die, we prefer Day for pronunciation), but again, neither of us are in love with the name.

Unfortunately it's not even a matter of agreeing on names, I can't even find a name that I love myself to convince my husband of, it's like I see all boys names and go "meh".

and for the fun of it and something happy in this post

I hate the name Isaac because I think of the kid in Children of the Corn tbh.

I do like Jacob.

If you like "Day" as a name, what about Daylon? It's a variation of Dylan I've always liked. (Can also be spelled Dalon, Daylen, etc.).

cute! don't go with Isaac if you have a bad association...
however, when you see your newborn son and if you choose to go with Isaac- you'll have a whole new feeling about the name

Gosh, I have so much trouble with boy names, too! I have a girl name picked out, but I'm not even pregnant yet so we still have time. I just can't find one that I'm like "OMG THAT IS IT!" that fits all of my criteria (and then to get my husband to go "YES!").

I really like Isaac and I think it goes fabulously with Nicholas Cael. Honestly, I like Isaac a lot more than Jacob--but that's just me. I adore the nn Ike for Isaac!

Suggestions:

Wesley
Aaron
Emmett

Oren
Zachary
Reid

Malcolm
Levi
Julian

I could go on forever... :-)

And if you like the name Dai/Day, you could do Dayton, Dale, Dalton, Damien, Dane, or David.

I like Dai! I think it's cool. Would you continue the middle name being used tradition? Dai would be a nice first name!

First, your boys are adorable!

I actually really like Jacob Dai (Day). Lots of naming potential in that combo (Jacob, Dai, Jake, JD, etc).

Just wanted to throw it out there that I too have an issue picking boy names. I don't necessarly hate any, I'm just "Yeah, that's a name" when I see/hear a name. Not to mention that most names I could even think of that I might like, I'm like, "Oh well that's so-and-so's name". Plus, I watch a lot of sports, so I can't use a lot of names b/c my family will assume I got it from a certain player. So it's a good thing I'm not in a position to be naming children right now, LOL :).
