A lady that hired me to play at her wedding: Collin.

If I had heard the name before I met her in person, I most definitely wouldn't have liked it. But seeing that it fit her so well, I'm kind of neutral about it. Even as a boys' name, I don't have much of an opinion on the name.

Thoughts?

I actually think the name sounds kind of girly, especially when you consider names like Corinne and Coleen that sound really similar but are actually girls names. The two L's make it look more girly too, in my opinion.

I like it for a boy only. With one L.

I like Colin/Collin for a boy. I don't LOVE it, but it's a good name.

One of my co-workers and I talk about names a lot (she's expecting twin boys) and she was telling me a friend of hers is SET on using Collins for a girl. With the -s at the end... I'm not sure about spelling, I'm assuming it's either Colins or Collins. Needless to say, I'm NOT a fan of that--neither is my co-worker.

When I made a list of boy names for my son, Colin was on it.. and my 9 year old niece goes "colon ?!" lol that kinda ruined the name for me. We chose Cole instead ;)

Haha, my husband is dead set on naming our son Colin (if we ever have one), but it will be spelled Collin for that exact reason. I like Cole much better... I wonder if he'd go for it.
