In talking to my business partner yesterday, I found out that one of our agents just had a little boy.  They named him Axel Aiden Lastname.  She said, "I wish they had named him Aiden because Axel sounds like 'asshole'."  LOL

Honestly, that's what I think too. But kids are mean and I am sure that somewhere along the line, someone will call him "Asshole." I think I just have a deep dislike of the Aiden altogether.

this past year, there was an Axel in my daughter's kindergarten class- so, I've changed what I think of the name....now I think of a cute little (sometimes mischievous) boy

Uh, I actually like the name Axel a lot. Maybe that's because of Kingdom Hearts 2, but I really like it. I've never thought it sounds like "asshole". Hasn't she heard of gears and axels? They're real things, unlike names like Kaden, Jayden, Kasen, Caven, etc.

When Axel Rose (and Guns and Roses) was popular, the name never bothered me. I maybe thought of axels on cars. When my friend named her dog Axel a couple years ago, all I heard was asshole when we said the dog's name.
