Sounds like two people with ordinary names went a little overboard trying to guarantee that their kids don't have common names.

This seems to be part of that trend where parents with common names pick crazy names to ensure that their children are OHSOSPESHUL. I look at this list and I keep thinking, "but Alexandria is a perfectly nice name and spelling."
