[identity profile] aislincalum.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
A long-time friend and her boyfriend had their baby a few weeks early.  She was very quiet about what they had planned for their son's name the entire time she was pregnant, but she did tell me at one point.  Surprisingly, when the little man arrived, his name was totally different than what she had originally said.

He is: Brayden Maximus Lastname.

WDYT??

Brayden is too trendy for my taste plus I am not wild about how it sounds but I like Maximus.

I don't like the -ayden names at all.

Brayden is a guilty pleasure of mine and Maximus is cool, but they don't go together.

Perhaps if we were scripting characters for a gladitor movie. Otherwise, they do not go well together.

What was the original name?

Brayden isn't my taste. At all. I do like Maximus, but more as a bet/guilty pleasure name.

I know waaay too many Braydens (and other -aydens).

And Maximus... is my doxie's name.

The names just don't mesh well together. Brayden Maxwell goes together better (IMO) for the Max name.

Weird to combine an uber-trendy name like Brayden with a noble-sounding, badass name like Maximus.
