I'm seeing what's available in a fairly simple space, or possibly science-themed name for my third born.

My first two are:
Fin Diego &
Ché Montreo (both boys)

Some names we're considering for the first (sex unknown):
Sol
Mars
Moon (we wouldn't really use this - I think it would confuse the heck out of my children. I like the atmosphere of it though, although that could be associated from the pure sophistication of the famous Howard Moon)

And that's all I've really found/thought of in the astro theme first-name-wise. I definitely want to stick to one syllable, but obvious names like Star and Skye are out (I have a neice called Skye anyways). Scientist names, like Neil perhaps - while that one's actually pretty kickass.. just not pretty enough. :P

The middle name is going to be Cielo (see-AY-loh I think) which is the Spanish word for heaven (I'm an atheist. but close enough!) AND it's another three-syllable name that rhymes with Diego and Montreo (there's seriously like, three options that fit the requirement, even dropping the syllable spec).

If you're as blank on space names as me, consider me a one-syllable name that goes with the second initial, because we kind of use that dynamic to call our kids sometimes. For example, Mars would be Mars C. Almost Marcy. Which is kind of cute. I also thought of Quinn C, or Quincy - but to be honest the only association I have with that name is from Daria. And.. God no.

First, I have to congratulate you on your excellent taste, I love your boy's names, especially Ché!

That said, I really like Mars, for either sex. It isn't my style exactly, but it fits your family beautifully. For space names, I draw a bit of a blank, and the only thing I can think of is Io, a moon of Jupiter, I believe.More moons: Thebe (I love this one!), Leda, Euanthe, Atlas, Janus, Europa, Stella...?

For a scientist name, might I suggest Sagan? Or is that too obvious? :) Sagan Cielo has a very nice ring to it, though Sagan C. doesn't sound very special.

I love your theme; we're currently TTC and if we have a girl, her name will be Carina (after a certain gorgeous nebula!)

Just wanted to say that Cielo is pronounced See-EL-loh, and also means sky :)

No, she has the pronunciation right. Six years of Spanish is good for something, after all...

Well maybe it is more like see-EH-loh, it is definitely not with an "Ay" sound. I speak fluent Spanish :)
