Apr. 17th, 2012 08:01 pmI posted a little while ago about Vivica versus Vivianna and I think I've come to a conclusion for now (just for the record, I don't plan to have kids for another eight years or so - this is just for fun). I have no idea what my last name will be once I'm married, but currently it's two syllables, starting with a G and that may end up being my children's last name.
Girls:
Adelaide Beatrix Elodie
Vivica Josephine Lula
Boys:
Caius Oakley Wilder
Atticus Finnley Reason
Any thoughts?
Just for fun, here are the origins and meanings of the names:
Adelaide (German - noble and serene) Beatrix (English - bringer of joy) Elodie (French - riches)
Vivica (Scandinavian version of the Latin name Vivian - full of life) Jospheine (French - God will increase) Lula (English - famous warrior)
Caius (Latin - person of the earth) Oakley (English - from the oak tree field) Wilder (English - wild)
Atticus (English - father-like) Finnley (Scottish - fair warrior) Reason (English - reason)

* I like Caius, although I prefer the sound of Gaius a bit more. Oakley Wilder makes me think of cowboys for some reason. Oakley also makes me think of sunglasses. All together, though, it has a good sound. The initials do spell "cow," however, that will be less noticeable with a last name as long as it doesn't start with an "S". ;)
* Atticus Finnley Reason has a good sound too, but I kind of have a thing against the first name. Reason is really interesting.
