We have narrowed it down to 3 names for our little girl...

Kaitlin Abigail S_____
Sarah Keely Ann S_____

and we like Daisy, but don't have a middle name yet. Im abit unsure about Daisy because...
a) it sounds like the name of a cow
b) will it suit an adult?
c) we haven't agreed on a middle name

Im sure I would LOVE Daisy, if we had a middle name, I LOVE "Daisy Avalee (Ava - Lee)" but the OH doesn't like it, he likes 'Daisy Ann" but I dont feel like it flows.

So please ladies could I have some suggestions on a middle name and comments on the other 2 names
thankyou
xoxo
(btw: he LOATHES "Daisy Mae/May")

My suggestion would be to use Daisy as a middle name or to use a regular name for the middle name so the girl has something to fall back on when she's an adult. I personally really like the name Daisy but I would have the fear of it not suiting an adult very well.

fwiw, Daisy is actually a nickname for Margaret. would you feel better about using it if it had a "real" name?

I like Sarah. not a fan of Kaitlin. and I like Daisy too. as far as a middle goes, why not one of the two other middles you have picked?

Daisy can suit an adult, like Daisy de la Hoya (not a great person to name a kid after but still).

I think Daisy sounds good with longer middle names like: Daisy Elizabeth, Daisy Genevieve, Daisy Veronica, etc. Look into some 3- and 4-syllable names.

Since your husband likes Daisy Ann, what about Daisy Antoinette or Daisy Anastasia?

Kaitlin Abigail has kind of a late 80's/early 90's feel to me. Sarah Keely Ann is kind of odd because Sarah and Ann are very classic names, while Keely is quite trendy.

Daisy isn't necessarily only a nickname for Margaret, they have the same root meaning though.

I just meant it can be, since OP didn't seem to think it sounded namey enough, or human enough .. maybe she'd prefer it as a nickname.

I think the "Keely" part is after herself.

I like Kaitlin Abigail S_____. I've always thought Kaitlin sounded pretty. :)

Not that Keely isn't a nice name, it's just that with the rise of all the variations on Kylie, Miley, Riley, etc. for girls, Keely kind of fits in there for me. I don't say that to deter you, but I think it's something to be aware of.

I actually really like the name Keely, but my best friend is named Kylie so I would probably use that instead.

I really like Daisy and prefer it to the other names. I can see it working for an adult as well as a child, especially these days. I think Daisy Abigail sounds lovely together, to be honest, if you're willing to use Abigail paired with something else. Kaitlin is too trendy for my liking and Sarah, while very pretty, is quite common.

I agree with your husband on Kaitlin Keely. I am not a big fan of double initials anyway, but especially K.K. because of the Ku Klux Klan.

My boyfriend's last name starts with an E. We have to scrap so many combinations because of initials. Some examples:
Evan William - EWE
Lillian Iris - LIE
Chloe Ann Kathryn (Chloe is our top name, my mom is Ann, his mom is Kathryn) - CAKE
Oliver David - ODE (I was okay with this one but he used to have a dog named Odie)

Also why not Daisy Annabelle?

I prefer Caitlin Abigail to Sarah Keely Ann. But I knew a really mean girl with the K spelling, and 's in general are so trendy to me. Caitlin Abigail would be very classy. I really can't decide which one I like better with your current options. Keely seems trendy and so does the K spelling of Kaitlin so I can't decide. I do like Daisy, too!

I had to scrap my top girl's name, Adele Serenity, when I finally have kids for that exact same reason (my boyfriend's last name, who would be the father, starts with an S.)

LOVE Kaitlyn Abigail ♥

My mom's cousin named her little girl Daisy Millie. I thought it was shocking, my first reaction was 'it sounds like a cow's name!' and then 'Millie really doesn't go with it either.' But Millie was her grandmother so she had her reasons. I think Daisy is fine for an adult but I just don't like it.

If you're really set on it though how about...
Daisy Julia
Daisy Charlotte
Daisy Olivia

Neither of those choices are my style, but I think I prefer Kaitlin Abigail. The "Keely" seems to throw things off in the second one. Sarah Keely or Sarah Ann would be nice, but all three together are a bit much.

Have you considered going with a multiple syllable middle name for Daisy? That might lighten any cow-related and/or hillbilly connotations you think it has.

Daisy Josephine
Daisy Charlotte
Daisy Frances(ca)
Daisy Julia
Daisy Rebecca
Daisy Victoria

Daisy is more of a nickname than a real name. Maybe you could call her Margaret, Marguerite, Margot, or Margarita (although with the drink being popular, I wouldn't recommend that last) and call her Daisy as a nickname. Then, if she feels like she's outgrown it at some point, or if she wants to reserve it for close friends only, she has a more formal name as well.

I think Daisy is my favorite of the three. It doesn't sound cow-like to me at all (but I also call my daughter Elspeth the nn Elsie, which drives my mom nuts for the same reason, although I love it). My husband has a Daisy in his class (4th grade), and I think it's sweet, because it's unique (compared to the names I see in that age group nowadays, anyway) without being ostentatious.

Since Daisy has a bit of a "country" feel to it, you could balance it with a more sophisticated name -- we know a twinset named Henry William and Violet Jean, and I've always loved the one "country" ish name (Jean and Henry) paired with a more "classic" name (Violet and William)... Daisy Elizabeth, maybe?
