We have a son, Nicholas Cael B...

we are currently TTC for #2, if we have a girl it will be either Amelia Grace (my choice) or Amelia Hope (hubby's choice), if it's a boy we are struggling, we both like the name Zechariah for a boy, but are struggling with middle name. He likes Weylin for a middle name with Zech, it is growing on me... thoughts?

Zechariah sounds like a stomach condition to me. I wouldn't even know what kind of middle name to give. I prefer Amelia Grace out of the two.

I prefer Amelia Grace. I prefer Zachariah to Zechariah and er, shouldn't you spell the middle name Waylon? Like Jennings? Weylin looks made up. Maybe you should go with something more traditional for the middle name: Robert, Michael, Peter, Andrew, Edward, James, Paul, etc. That might balance things out.

^^^^This. I prefer it with an A or Zephaniah/Zeph but Zechariah is too bizarre for my taste.

I have always thought Zechariah was a cool name. In the past, I have liked it better than Zachariah, but now you have me thinking about nicknames, and that changes things somewhat. I'm not sure I care for Zech. I thought it was fine at first, but now, having read the comment about Zechariah sounding like a stomach condition, I think of the word retch when I see the nn. I know they're not said the same at all. It's close to sec (like "just a sec[ond]"), and could also be misheard as "sick" or "sex." Zachariah has the more standard "Zach" to fall back on. Of course, for either name, you could always use Riah, but that seems like you're wasting a "cool factor" of a Z name. Also, people will probably say "ree-uh" the first time they see it. I do like the Zephaniah suggestion too...but you're not looking for a new first name so I probably shouldn't be saying any of this!

Um...so...Weylin. Is it a family name? That would give it bonus points. If it's not, the non-standard spelling "goes" with your first son's middle name, I guess. I just don't see why you wouldn't use the traditional spelling on it, unless of course, this spelling has some special meaning. I'm just not one for changing spellings around, personally. At first, I thought Zechariah Weylin sounded good, but now, Weylin is kind of reminding me of wailin[g]. If you give some idea of other names you've considered for middles or at all, I/we could offer some other middle name suggestions if you like.
