They go together without being overly matchy. They're not really my style, but they aren't bad. And there are worse surnames out there to name your kids after.
I actually think it's cute. I don't mind either name. My sons are named for characters in novels by my favorite author. So I'm not one to judge when other parents celebrate fannishness through baby names.
While I think it is a bit weird/ridic to name your child after sport stars, I like it when parents name children after *something* important to them in their lives!
The actual names are both pretty meh to me. Not particularly interesting, but they get points for proper spelling and age appropriateness.
