Sweden has a new Princess, and she's named

Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary


Her mother is Crown Princess Victoria (full name Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée) and her husband Daniel.

I really like it, I think. I don't know that I care for any of the names, except Mary, on their own, but it's pretty.

Maybe I prefer Estella over Estelle, though...

Any idea how Ewa is pronounced? Is it like a sheep - YOU-ah? Or is the W like a V?

Many Kings and Queens choose not to be known by their first name once crowned but pick a more 'traditional' name, so, she could go from being Crown Princess Estelle to Queen Mary....

I think it's really pretty, though I wouldn't pick any of the names on their own, Estelle makes me think of Great Expectations, and I think they've struck a good traditional yet modern style :-)

hahaha I know. I have no idea if he has more than one name, but I know all the swedish and danish royal family people have 4 names each (or at least the children). She only goes by Victoria though.

I love Estelle, but I'm not keen on the rest of her name. I love pretty much everything about Princess Victoria's though, especially Ingrid and Alice.

Love it. My cat is Estella, so I'm biased.

Still though, I really love Silvia/Sylvia and Ewa is very pretty. Mary is traditional but it's fine.
