Feb. 20th, 2012 02:00 amI'm reading The Edge of Light by Ann Shorey at the moment and the main character has a daughter named Luellen, but some of the characters call her Lulie for short. I think Lulie is so so cute, but I doubt it would age well. Are there any other names that could use Lulie as a nick name?

Date: 2012-02-20 07:40 am (UTC)I would say mist "Lu..." names could use Lulie as a NN, my fave would be Lucille.

Louise
Louisa
Lucinda
Or some less classic, more off-beat ones (I love nicknames that are a bit random):
Laura
Lola
Lolita
Luna
Tallulah
Ophelia (not sure why this one but I like it a lot for Lulie)

Date: 2012-02-20 05:52 pm (UTC)I Lulie could work as a NN for these names today:
Louise
Lucille
Lucinda
It's a bit of a stretch, but I think it would work for Lorelei or Loralie, too.
