I recently found out that Alexandra Raine joins sister Athena Skye. The thing that gets me the most is that Alexandra's nickname is "Lex". Maybe I'm in a minority, but I strongly associate that nickname with Lex Luthor, so it's strange to me to hear it on a girl. . .and it's the name of a fictional villain.

Lex is a pretty common nickname for Alex- girls names.

Those names separate are okay (not really my style), but together they're very cutesy. A first name + obvious nature middle name

I've never really liked the Alexander/Alexandra related names because there are just so many variations of them Al, Allie, Alex, Alexi, Alexa, Xander, Zander, Lex, Lexie, and then there are the various spellings especially between genders. It just makes my head hurt. I actually know a boy who goes by Lix pronounced like licks. That being said, while yeah there are Lex Luther associations, it's not the first thing I think of when I hear little girl nicknamed Lex. I know some very nice people with these names but I know SO MANY people with variations I just completely shy away from it.

I agree, I don't have any issues with them. Even if they are obviously tailor made to match with the A's and the nod to nature middle names. I think they're pretty cute. I like Athena best out of the four though.

I would prefer Rain and Sky without e's, but I love Alexandra and Athena, and they sound nice together

I've never liked any of the Alex--- girl names. That said, I don't think it is a horrible sibset by any means. I mean, yeah, they both start with the same letter and have a nature middle name, but the first names have a different number of syllables. It's not matchy like Caiden and Jaiden matchy. Plus, if the nn is Lex (which I don't like either), it no longer matches Athena at all. And I can get past themes in the middle names because they're not generally used in the everyday.

Athena is pretty cool, and I think it sounds really good with Skye.

Aw, such pretty names. I do think of Lex Luthor when I hear "Lex", but I still think it's an okay nickname. When she's older, little Lex might decide that she wants to be Lexie or Alex, so she's probably okay.

I like Alexandra, but I hate the other names.

i'm gonna show off my total geekiness, and the 5 older brothers influence and say "Lex" is Luthor's nickname. his full name is Alexander.

i could see Lex as a nn when she's older, middle or high school, but not until then.
