How do you feel about having a 'word' name for example Daisy, Paris, Ruby with the surname Cook(e)? For/against/depends? Any names that you'd completely avoid because of that surname?

Also, opinions (suggestions of other names would be greatly appreciated):
Henry Daniel
Leo Nicholas
Rhys Matthew
Other names considered: Charles/Charlie, Aidan, Lewis, Liam, Casper, Zac - as a nn for Zacharria or Zachary, Arthur, Noah

Girls names considered: Madeleine, Lila, Olive/Olivia, Amelia, Elise/Alice, Lucy, Daisy, Isla

Also, any ideas of alternatives to these names that could be used to honor family members?
Peter Brian, Shaun James, Edward John
Muriel, Denise, Angela, Sophie

Maybe you should stay away from place names like Paris, London, Dakota, etc. because it might sounds like "a cook from Paris/London/Dakota" on accident. But flower and gemstone names would probably work with it.

I love your top three picks, especially Henry Daniel.

Maybe you could work some of the family names in as middle names with some of your alternate picks? For instance:

Liam Edward
Aidan Peter
Casper James
Zachary Shaun
Arthur John
Charles Brian

or

Madeleine Sophie
Lila Muriel
Amelia Denise
Lucy Angela

Or something like that.

I think some word names could work without sounding too odd, but I would avoid Paris. Paris Cooke just makes me think of a Parisian chef.

Henry Daniel - It's nice.
Leo Nicholas - It's fine, but I don't like it as much as the other two combos.
Rhys Matthew - Nice. I like Rhys.

I also like: Lewis (although I prefer Louis), Liam (prefer it as a nn for William though), and Casper (does it still have the "friendly ghost" associations?)
I like the spelling Zachariah better than Zacharria. I've never seen that version before.

I like Alice and Lucy. Elise is nice too.

Other names you may like:
Harrison
Leopold
Rowan
George
Adrian
Hugh
Callum
Caspian
Zechariah
Rupert
Gideon
Mathilda
Kara
Elizabeth
Emily
Anneliese
Esme
Lucia
Juniper

Variations of family names:
Petra (f)
Byron for Brian?
Brianna
Shauna
Hamish or Seamus for James
Benjamin with the nn Jamie
Edith, Edna, Edmund, Eamon (AY-mon)
Johanna for John
Dennis for Denise
Angelina

Alternatives: Shawna, Maura, Dennis, Angel/Angelie/Angelique, Sophia.

LOVE Rhys Matthew and the name Liam. For the girls, I love all your choices - I have a soft spot for Olive!

For the family names, maybe try Angelina or Sophia? I love Peter and Edward all by themselves :)

I really like Rhys Matthew. Out of your other names, I like Liam, Casper, Zachariah, and Arthur.

I'm so glad someone else besides me likes Casper! The few people I've mentioned it to always bring up Casper the friendly ghost, but I never watched that so it doesn't have any connotations for me.

I LOVE Madeleine and also Olivia, though it's pretty popular.

Alternatives:
Briar for Brian? I love the name Briar personally! And it can work for a boy or girl I think, sounding like Brian but also with the Briar Rose allusion.
Edison, Edmund, Theodore (with nn Ted/Teddy or Ed/Eddy) for Edward.
Moira for Muriel.
Angelica, Angelique, or Angelina for Angela.

I'd avoid "Frye".

I would avoid adjective names (ex. Rosie Cooke or Autumn Cooke) but I don't think noun names sound bad necessarily.
