[identity profile] katsuno-hitomi.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Even though I don't have a lot of Facebook friends, the ones I do have run the gamut in the name department. Here are some first names in my friends list.

'Ofa - A Tongan woman who married a Hispanic guy. Old church friend.
Amy - Man this gal has a lot of energy! Current church friend.
Aram - Another church friend originally from Mexico City. It's an obscure biblical name, but it suits him well.
Ashley Kayleen - She goes by either name.
Becca - I've got two Becca's on the list, but this one is my favorite.
Brielle - Daughter of my former LDS singles ward bishop. If I remember correctly, she was named after a small town on the east coast.
Celestia - Current BFF. Interesting side note, she has a 1-year old niece named Eowyn.
Dena - I call her Mom.
Elisa Nataly - She prefers her middle name.
Erin - One of my aunts.
Faith - A cousin.
Ferren - Church friend. She and her hubby make such a cute couple.
Hayley - Haven't seen this cousin in forever.
Jennifer - Old friend I haven't seen in years.
Jodi - I babysit her son.
Kalli - Awesomeness.
Moniqua - Pronounced the same as Monica.  Also, she's as white as I am.
Oksana - Originally from Kazahkstan, if I remember correctly.
So, WDYT?

I named a kitty Eowyn because I knew nobody was going to let me name a baby that. But I have a great fondness for both Eowyn and Arwen. Geek love!

Oksana makes me think of the ice skater, can't spell her last name without looking. She was a gold medalist if I'm remembering correctly.

I like Jodi as opposed to Jody, however that's how my sister's name is spelled, and I'm probably biased.

I really don't like Kalli, spelled any way. I've seen it around here and there - spelled Cali, Callie, Kally - and never really thought much of it.

In the UK Eowyn/Owen/Eoin is strictly a boys name.

Ooh, Ferren, I like that! Seren is becoming quite popular, and this is an interesting alternative.
