there's a name you've always loved, a suggestion you think's adorable, or even something completely random that you're seriously considering, but there's one thing stopping you.

you last name. it just doesn't sound right together, makes you think of all the teasing your child would endure, something.

an example: my now ex-sister-in-law wanted to use Noah or Eaton for my nephew. both are good, strong names but with Bacon as his last name they just don't work. and she didn't even realize it. i'm so glad she's ex now

are there any names that you wish you could use? make you chuckle when you find one? seen any you want to smack the parent for?

I've always had 'Jayden/Jaden' as a guilty pleasure name, but I can't bring myself to ever use it. lol. to trendy.

'Cash' is another name I love, but I'm not sure I could use it.
'Elliot' as well, its a good solid name, It just doesnt suit my personality so well.

I'd love the smack the parents of a kid named 'Princess' that I know, and I'm so over these white girls I know naming there daughters 'Aaliyah' ..ugh. And anyone who names there kid 'Navayah/Naveah'

A bunch!

I've always loved Ben, but it sounds silly with our last name (also very short and begins with B)

I've always loved Caleb ever since I read/saw East of Eden, but my husband has not one, not two but FOUR cousins who named their kids that. We aren't about to be number five in one family.

Dewey is a family name and I think would be super cute and suitable on a kid, but not so much a grown-up, so I hold back.

Noah isn't quite as bad with Bacon as Eaton. Eaton Bacon makes me LOL. I say that's an awesome name for a dog, though.

I really like the name Angus, but my husband (and several of my friends) said that our kid would be teased and called "anus". I had honestly never made that mental connection. I still think it's silly, though.

Our last name is Brewer and off the top of my head, I can't think of any ACTUAL names that would make a funny or inappropriate play-on-words. But we basically have to stay away from first names that end in "er" because it makes it to rhymey with our last name. I've always liked the name Tucker, but Tucker Brewer is too much.

I had to shoot down my boyfriend who said he wanted to use Rocky Razor for a boy. Not so bad in and of itself, but his (and therefore any children that we have's) last name is Sharp. So, hell to the no.

It's funny how names are perceived differently around the world. Jayden is what we call a bogan name in Australia. Bogan being similar to white trash.

Heard a woman one day calling her kids and going "Jayden, Tameka, Jye, get your arses over here now!" Everyone just gave her a look of horror. Not sure if it was for the language or the names!

I can't use any names that have the initials AS, since the last name begins with S as well. :D

I have a cousin who was almost named Fay King. Seriously.

I talked a friend out of calling her daughter Miley, by saying that anything you call your daughter should sound okay with Princess, President or Prime Minister in front of it.

She went with Stephanie.

Eh, not a big fan of Gus. But you're right, it would help steer away from anus.

Oh, Jayden is often considered that sort of name in the US, as well. The fact that Britney Spears named her son that certainly didn't help, lol.

LOL! It sounds like Robert Rodriguez's missing child or something. And yes, it's definitely a guy thing to try to come up with a name that sounds "badass". My husband? Wanted Chuck Norris Sean Connery... as one name. He wasn't really serious, but I think if I actually let him get away with it, he would have been THRILLED. He also suggested things like Thor and Optimus Prime. I'm thinking, am I married to a man or a child?

Haha that made me LOL Rocky Razor Sharp.

My brother has suggested Rocky for a boy as he loves the name. We already have a boy name so I think I'll leave it for my bro to use if he ever has kids. ;)

Oh mine also thought the parents who named their kid after a Skyrim character to get free games for life are "so cool" and "wouldn't you want free games for life honey?"

No, no I would not.

Stella, but our last name is Patel.

And Ruby, but it's gotten to popular/trendy (I first fell in love with it in college, so about 6 years ago)
