Updated Version Of Russian Names

I went to one of my friends on Facebook who is from Russia and she helped me out with the names. She told me that for the most part, I had the names in the right places, however one of them was a male's name that should've been a female's name in the first set and one of the names in the second set was a unisex name, that's why it looked confusing. Spelling wise she told me that there are many different ways to spell some of the names and some are less common than others. She was pleased that I picked names that are considered 'dying out' and are rarely used. Here's the updated lists:

First set
1. Pytor Georgiy_____
2. Veronika Matryona______
3. Aleksey Feodot_________
4. Faina Liouba___________

I had to change the first name of the first girl as Valery is a pet form of a male's name.

Second set
1. Dmitriy Mikhail_____
2. Matryoshka Agrafina______
3. Toma Innokenity__________
4. Rada Yuliana_____________

I was told that Toma is a unisex name. Toma was almost exclusively used as a girl's name until the mid 1960's, then it slowly became a unisex name.

I have never in my life heart Toma being used as a male name, but that's just me.

Also, I think what you're trying to pair with Toma is Innokentiy - Иннокентий.

Maybe she thought Toma was male because it looks like Tomas, which is an alternate spelling of Thomas?

I was surprised when she told me that Toma was a unisex name as I thought it was exclusively a girl's name as well after looking at the sites again. Thanks for showing me where I made a spelling error, I've been harried the past few days and it looks like spelling has become another casuality in things that have become messed up for me as of late(I won't get a break until Sunday or Monday).

Is it Pytor? IDK, I've always heard Pyotr. But I confess to being in love with Russian names just for the nicknames that come with each one.

I love Pyotr and Aleksey, and for the girls, I love Matryoshka and Toma.
