I don't have a huge list of names that I love, although I'm sure I could come up with one if I sat down and gave it some thought.

My son was born on September 22 of this year and I am in love with his name. After a lot of talking and arguing and debating and brainstorming, his father and I finally decided on the awesome final product!

Azrael Xavier Ezekiel Longstreet

We like it for a number of reasons. Azrael is and Xavier are angels and Ezekiel is a prophet. His initials spell Axel, which offers a simple nickname and he has choices if he decides he doesn't really want to be called Azrael.

If at any point in the future we have a girl, I'd like to name her Chloe Elizabeth.

That is a mouthful, but I like Xavier and Ezekiel a lot.

I don't think Chloe Elizabeth really "matches" Azrael but I do like Elizabeth.

That is definitely one heck of a name. Good thing you mostly use just the first name! Chloe is so normal and preppy and compared to Azrael is downright plain, though!

Yep. A bastardization* of the Hebrew "Azriel"; generally referred to as Angel of Death in both the Torah and the Qur'an instead of by name. Some people think it's more of a "embodiment" of Death/Evil, and not necessarily an evil angel itself, though.

Note: Not at all referring to OP's child; just the etymological evolution of the name and source. OP and every other parent have right to name their child as they wish.

Might not be an evil angel (hence the 'angel' bit of that) but still I'm not sure an angel of death is exactly the association you really want people making with your kid's name.

Your son's name is not my style, but that aside, I don't think that Chloe Elizabeth and your son's name make a very good sibset.

Perhaps not, but I don't think that sibling names necessarily need to match or be similar in any way.

It is, that was our intention. That aside, the name Azrael just looks and sounds neat.
We don't look at it as an evil angel, however, but more one of rehabilitation that takes the souls bound for hell and assists them in a transformation that would eventually allow them into heaven.

i think you should pick between xavier and ezekial, or just give him a normal middle name, like michael or joshua. i think it would sound better and not so "special snowflake"

I appreciate the advice, but we've already named him. It's on his SS card and birth certificate, already. :)
