I feel terrible, since a little girl is missing, but I just had to post the creative spelling of this missing child's name: Jhessye. It's pronounced like the tradtional Jessie/Jesse spelling. She's five years old, African American and from Arizona, USA.

I hope they find her and she's okay, but... man. That spelling. lol

Well, look at it this way--if she's started to learn how to write her name, the spelling could end up saving her life! Since there probably aren't many others who spell it that way, it would be distinctive if someone knew she was missing and saw her write it.

I have also seen it spelled Jahessye. Not sure which one is correct. I really hate -ye at the end of names, one of those weird things that bug me.

I do hope they find her. :(

Aww, poor girl, I hope she is found. :(

I know someone who spells it Jysi. But the story behind hers is her parents aren't native English speakers (I believe from Mexico), and heard the name and that's how they thought it was spelled, lol.

I wouldn't have thought of that. Good point.
